LPB'S 2025 DREAM GETAWAY OFFICIAL RULES:


  1. Grand Prize is a luxurious 7-night vacation for two to Italy, including stays in Rome, Florence, and Venice, private guided tours, gourmet food and wine experiences, and a $2,000 Visa gift card for airfare or other expenses. See below for full details.
    1. (2) $1,000 Visa Gift Cards to be used toward the purchase of your Economy Class Air or any other Visa purchases of your choice
    2. 3 nights accommodations at The Style Hotel in Rome
    3. 2 nights accommodations at Hotel Pierre in Florence
    4. 2 nights accommodations at Hotel L Orologio in Venice
    5. Daily breakfast
    6. Private half-day Electric Golf Cart Rome tour, including English speaking guide
    7. Private half-day tour to Vatican, including private one way transfer from hotel to Vatican, English speaking guide, skip the line entrance fees and morning breakfast
    8. Small group Trastevere food walking tour, including English speaking guide, food, wine tasting and dinner
    9. Round trip airport transfers
    10. Private 3 hour walking tours of Florence with Accademia Gallery, including English speaking guide, skip the line entrance fees to the Accademia Gallery

  2. Package certificates/gift cards cannot be replaced.
  3. Passport required for travel outside the U.S.
  4. Tours run on specific days of the week and at specific times.
  5. Hotel may be substituted with equal or similar accommodations.
  6. Local city taxes are the responsibility of the traveler and are required to be paid directly to hotel.
  7. Transfer for some tours not included.
  8. Travel is valid for 18 months from date of issue.
  9. A minimum 45 day advance reservation is required.
  10. This travel package is valued at $14,000.
  11. Entry form must be filled out completely and submitted with payment. NO facsimiles or copies of entry forms will be accepted.
  12. Raffle begins Thursday, February 20, 2025.
  13. All electronic entries must be received by Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:59:59PM to be eligible for the grand prize drawing.
  14. All mail-in entries must be received by Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:59:59PM to be counted in the grand prize drawing.
  15. The drawing will be held and the winner of the grand prize will be announced on LPB's website and social media on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 2pm.
  16. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
  17. A maximum of 10,000 tickets will be sold.
  18. Tickets are $50 each.
  19. The IRS has adopted the position that ticket prices are not deductible as a charitable donation for Federal income tax purposes.
  20. All raffle ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. By purchasing a ticket, the buyer acknowledges that they are voluntarily participating in the raffle and agree not to dispute or initiate a chargeback with their financial institution. Any chargeback or payment dispute will result in disqualification from the raffle, and the ticket(s) in question will be deemed void. Additionally, individuals who initiate chargebacks may be restricted from participating in future raffles.
  21. No limit of ticket purchases by one person.
  22. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, cash and checks are accepted. Prize will not be awarded, and will be forfeited, if the ticket was issued in exchange for a check returned for “insufficient funds” or for a credit card charge deemed “declined,” “invalid,” or “stolen”.
  23. Need not be present to win.
  24. Grand prize winner must claim prize on or before Monday, May 12, 2025.
  25. By entering, winners consent to promotional use of their names and likeness without additional compensation.
  26. Winner is subject to all Federal and State income taxes and any other taxes payable due to acceptance of the prize and the law, regulations, procedures, rules and directives applicable to raffles. Winners are encouraged to consult a tax professional.
  27. FLPB maintains no control of the personnel, equipment or operations of any supplier and assumes no responsibility for any financial loss, personal injury, property damage, other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity which winners may experience by reason of (1) performance or nonperformance of prize; or (2) wrongful, careless, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any supplier or its employees, or on the part of any other party not under the control of FLPB. FLPB shall in no event be liable for special or consequential damages arising from the use or ownership of any prizes. Participants hereby release FLPB from any such claims.
  28. The prize is non-transferable and non-assignable.
  29. Friends of LPB is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization.
  30. All entries must include a valid email address. Friends of LPB is not responsible for any change of email address, email unsubscribed, mailing address or telephone number of an entrant.
  31. Entry purchasers providing the raffle with a valid email address will receive email confirmation. For all other entry purchasers, ticket confirmation will be mailed within thirty (30) business days of purchase. This is the only confirmation that will be provided. Friends of LPB shall not bear any responsibility or liability for failure to provide notice due to a participant’s failure to maintain as current his or her contact information nor due to participant's unsubscribing from our emails.
  32. LPB Board members and their immediate family, as well as employees of LPB and Friends of LPB and their immediate family, will not be eligible to participate in any raffles organized by Friends of LPB.
    *Immediate Family” is defined as the spouse, parents, grandparents, great grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This definition also includes individuals for whom an employee is the current legal guardian.
  33. By entering the raffle, the entrant agrees to receive periodic emails from Friends of LPB and/or Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Friends of LPB agrees not to sell nor to share information collected from entrants with third parties aside from Louisiana Public Broadcasting.
