Calling All Educators!

America250 is inviting students in grades 3-12 to reflect on America for the chance to earn an unforgettable field trip to some of the most iconic historic and cultural landmarks in the country!
Imagine sleeping over at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington, DC, going behind the scenes at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, exploring the scenic natural landscapes at Yellowstone National Park, or taking a private tour of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida! These are just a few of the incredible experiences they could earn!
Here's how it works:
· Who can enter? Students in grades 3–12.
· What do you need to do? Help your students submit their original writing or artwork answering the question: "What does America mean to you?"
· When's the deadline? Submit your entry by April 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Why should students participate?
· Show off student creativity: This is a great chance to let their imagination run wild and share their unique experiences.
· Win awesome prizes: First-place awardees and their chaperone will receive airfare and lodging for a three-day, two-night field trip to a select historical or cultural site, and second-place winners get a $500 cash award!
· They can make their voice heard: Student stories matter, and this contest is a great way to share them with the world.

Causes of the American Revolution | Interactive Timeline (6-8, 9-12) On April 19, 1775, the first shots of the American Revolutionary War were fired. Explore how British policies led to the war, from the first colonies to the Declaration of Independence!
