It's Spring with LPB and PBS KIDS!

Come join us for Creature Adventures!

June 23-27, 2025

Creature Adventures for children ages 6 through 9! Camp LPB will engage kids in science, technology, engineering, math, and literacy with fun hands-on activities, digital media, and technology with the Wild Kratts! Camp is at LPB's Telecommunications Center located at 7733 Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, LA, from 9 AM - 12 NOON Monday-Friday. Cost is $175 per camper plus a non-refundable registration fee of $25.

March 20 is the First Day of Spring - It's finally spring! 🌷 Celebrate the season with your child by making "spring-y" flowers with construction paper. Gift them to teachers or friends or use them to decorate your table!

March 21 is World Poetry Day - The freedom of poetry can help kids let the words flow in a way that other writing doesn't! Help them learn how with this "Found Poetry" craft project for World Poetry Day!

Chip Kids: Here's a Bright Idea to Get Your Kids Excited About Science

Did you know you can power a lightbulb with just a battery and aluminum foil? Mrs. Pope illuminates the bright ideas behind electrical current in another episode of the fun new science series CHIP KIDS.

The team at East Tennessee PBS developed this new YouTube series for middle school-aged kids to spark interest in STEAM concepts, particularly semiconductors! That might sound like a super heavy topic, but CHIP KIDS makes it fun and understandable.

Each episode features a fun, hands-on experiment that can be recreated using ordinary, safe materials, like the latest episode “Light It Up!” Visit the CHIP KIDS to learn more or check out the playlist on YouTube @TheChipKids.
