The Giant Omelet: An Abbeville Celebration

Bringing the community together to cook a giant omelet is a tradition throughout much of the Francophone world. The Louisiana edition of this culinary practice is hosted annually in Abbeville in Vermilion Parish, which calls itself the “most Cajun place in the world.” In this episode, we learn how the omelet is made, dance to local Cajun music, and speak about the importance of this yearly event with attendees of all ages.
