LPB will provide live coverage of Governor Jeff Landry's opening address to the Louisiana Legislature for the 2025 Regular Session. The Governor will outline his goals for the session with a focus on the budget, insurance reform, and state tax restructuring. Dorothea Wilson and Karen LeBlanc, co-anchors of Louisiana: The State We're In, will provide coverage from the LPB studios.

This series sheds light on some of the most perilous, courageous, and unwritten stories of the women who led the charge.

In this first intriguing episode, the brave women across Europe who risked everything, including Josephine Baker who used her celebrity to smuggle information to the Allies and a wireless operator in France who single-handedly supported a Paris spy network.

Louisiana’s French language does not exist in a vacuum, but instead has developed over time symbiotically with its sister tongue Louisiana Creole. After investigating the Bayou Teche and Pointe Coupée dialects of this cherished yet endangered tongue in previous episodes of La Veillée, the Télé-Louisiane team visited with speakers of Louisiana Creole from Vacherie in St. James Parish about what makes their dialect unique and how the language was crafted by enslaved people across generations.

Each episode is in Louisiana French with English subtitles, so everyone can watch.

The LSU Wrestling program hit the "jackpot" when they convinced two-time state high school champion wrestler Kevin Jackson to give up the bitter winters of Michigan and make Louisiana is home away from home. Throughout the month of April, PBS KIDS recognizes Autism Acceptance Month, spotlighting autistic characters from PBS series such as "Carl the Collector" and Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood."

"Carl" is a groundbreaking series for PBS KIDS, the first to feature a lead character on the autism spectrum. The stories of the series demonstrate that there is no right or wrong way for brains to work. Carl and his friends learn that getting to know and embrace each other's differences is part of being a good friend.

"Carl the Collector" aims to:

  • Build self-awareness
  • Build self-management
  • Build social awareness skills
  • Promote understanding and empathy for neurodiversity

The show models how to show kindness and compassion as the group of friends learn how to handle emotions and manage conflict - an experience all to familiar to all young children.

LPB celebrates the good things that Louisiana youth are doing with our annual Louisiana Young Heroes program. Each year we ask Louisianans across the state to nominate the exceptional young people they know and each year they respond! This year's honorees come to us from Bossier City to Baton Rouge and points in between!

Creature Adventures is a fun summer camp program for children ages 6 through 9! Camp LPB will engage kids in science, technology, engineering, math, and literacy with fun hands-on activities, digital media, and technology featuring the Wild Kratts! Camp is at LPB's Telecommunications Center located at 7733 Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, LA, from 9 AM - 12 NOON Monday-Friday. Cost is $175 per camper plus a non-refundable registration fee of $25.
