THE SEQUEL YOU'VE BEEN WAITING ON FOR YEARS!

WOLF HALL: THE MIRROR AND THE LIGHT ON MASTERPIECE
Series Premiere
Sunday 8:00pm
Binge the entire series with LPB PASSPORT on the night of the premiere

Your patience is finally rewarded!

The Peabody and Golden Globe Award-winning Wolf Hall premiered in 2015, following Thomas Cromwell’s improbable rise to chief advisor in Henry VIII’s court. This sequel is the thrilling roller coaster ride of his struggle to maintain that power. As Cromwell rises and falls from favor, the series digs deep into his complex character: his razor-sharp mind and fierce ambition, and the personal cost of his unwavering loyalty.

The TV sequel picks up in May 1536 after the beheading of Anne Boleyn and follows the last four years of Thomas Cromwell’s life, completing his journey from self-made man to the most feared and influential figure of his time. These are years when Henry’s regime is severely tested by religious rebellion at home, traitors plotting abroad and the threat of invasion. Cromwell must deftly navigate the moral complexities that accompany the exercise of power in this bloody time; he’s caught between his desire to do what’s right and his instinct to survive. The question is: how long can anyone survive under Henry’s brutally mercurial gaze?

Wolf Hall and its sequel Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light are based on Hilary Mantel’s multi-award-winning book trilogy. Stream Wolf Hall online FREE until the Sunday premiere to catch-up or to get reacquainted. Or, if you just need a brief recap, watch this three-minute Previously on Wolf Hall video short.

In season 2, bigger and stronger enemies are waiting in the wings to destroy Marie Antionette. The higher she climbs in the estimation of the French people, the greater the threats are against her. At the height of their power, Marie Antoinette and Louis face an unprecedented financial crisis. The incessant attacks of Provence and Chartres against the royal couple stir up the hatred of the nobles while disastrous consequences loom with the Diamond Necklace Affair. Countless businesses across the state are struggling to find and afford commercial vehicle insurance as premiums consistently double and triple with each renewal. The commercial vehicle insurance crisis is not only bad for business, it stunts economic development in Louisiana. Part two of Driving Into Debt looks at what’s fueling Louisiana’s rising commercial vehicle insurance rates and potential solutions to curb costs.

And LPB sports correspondent Victor Howell takes us to Lafayette to sit down with long time St. Thomas More boys basketball coach Danny Broussard.
